The report

We left our Wolverhampton hotel at 10 to 8 for another long day. The start was painfully slow as we headed along the canal. Along the canal we had to head down lots of slippery cobbled slopes all of which had to be taken slowly or walked. Once we got off the canal path we managed to get some speed up until we stopped for coffee in a town called Stone. We left Stone on another canal path which was slow again but better than the other one. This path took us through Stoke-On-Trent and then we were back on the road. Shortly after this we got chased up the road by some dogs. We stopped briefly for ice cream after this and then continued to Knutsford. We stopped in Knutsford at around 3 o’clock for a sandwich. We then continued to our Bolton hotel which we reached at around quarter to 7.

Tomorrow we head to Shap which is just over 120k. Make sure you subscribe to this blog and follow me on Twitter @firstplacetri to receive updates.
